Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)

 

This entails home health visits for clients who need skilled nursing care or family teaching of skilled tasks. Some of the services CIDC pays for are in-patient and outpatient hospitalization, physician services, equipment, medications, and insurance-payment assistance. CIDC has caseworkers available to assist children across the state. Some of the services CIDC pays for are:

  • First exam
  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • 60 days of hospital stay each year
  • Braces and artificial limbs
  • Some prescription medicine
  • Some equipment
  • Some medical supplies
  • Some speech therapy
  • Some physical therapy
  • Some help with transportation
  • Some dental work for a cleft palate
